The Cog Railway is now opened all-year-round! So all snowboarders and skiers can ride up to Waumbek, and ski down the well-groomed trail that runs parrellel to the train tracks. It is an intermediate trail, but if you are a beginner you can get off half way up to the Waumbek Tank. The trip from the base to Waumbek is about 15-20 minutes, and to ski down is at your own pace. If you are not a snowboarder or skier you can still ride up and you can take the train back down. While you are at the base, you can eat in the cafeteria, visit the gift shop, look out from the observation deck, and look at the Cog Railway museum. For safety, we have professional first aid patrollers that ski/snowboard down the hill with you and we follow every regulation that has been given to us by the Department of Transportation (DOT) |
